About

My name is Jeremy Hare and I am currently a NICER Calibration scientist working at Goddard Space Flight Center. Previously I was a NASA Postdoctoral Fellow working with Dr. Brad Cenko and a postdoctoral researcher at Space Sciences Laboratory at UC Berkeley working with Dr. John Tomsick. I completed my PhD in physics at The George Washington University working under Dr. Oleg Kargaltsev. I obtained my undergraduate degrees in Physics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh. My primary research interests focus on high-energy radiation from compact objects in the Milky way. Specifically, I focus on locating new and unusual objects among the large number of sources in various X-ray catalogs.
